Description
Jean Schlumberger began working exclusively for Tiffany & Co. in 1958, the relationship first beginning in 1956 around when this brooch was manufactured. Most of these early floral brooches were stamped “Tiffany & Co.” alongside “Schlumberger”, this one solely stamped “Schlumberger” as an indication of his early work. Indicative of everything a collector looks for in Schlumberger, his genius has an uncanny way of bringing an edginess to traditional design. Overall a fantastic looking brooch adorned with 5.50 carats of old European cut and baguette diamonds grading high with F color VS1-VS2 clarity. Circa 1950’s
